|
Crown Cleaning | Removal of dead, diseased, crowded, weakly attached and low-vigor branches from a tree's crown. |
Crown Thinning |
Selective removal of live branches to increase light penetration and air movement in the crown, and to reduce weight. |
Crown Reduction | Reduces the height or width of a tree by cutting limbs back to laterals that are large enough to assume a leader role. This will help maintain the structural integrity and natural form of the tree as well as reduce the frequency of future pruning. This is not to be confused with topping which causes extreme hardship and stress on a tree. Topping is no longer recommended as an acceptable pruning technique. |
Crown Restoration | Trees that are topped, damaged by storm or otherwise disfigured can sometimes be restored back to their natural form. This process requires subsequent pruning over an interval of several years. |
Crown Raising | Removal of lower branches of a tree in order to provide clearance for buildings, vehicles, pedestrians and views. |
Crown Cabling | Cabling is a way of adding extra support to weak or potentially dangerous portions of a tree. Using a non-invasive dynamic synthetic cabling system, it is possible to reduce the amount of risk to the surrounding area without causing undo damage to the branches. Cabling is not a cure but a crutch that can prolong the life of a tree until a more permanent solution can be put into effect. |
Tree Removal | Removal of trees in tight access areas using climbing and rigging techniques certified through the International Society of Arboriculture. |
